Are Your Crops or Feed Experiencing High or Low Mycotoxin Levels?
Detecting mycotoxins can be challenging due to their lack of impact on taste, smell, or appearance in feed. Traditional tests face difficulties as mycotoxins often bind to other molecules.
Another hurdle is the uneven distribution of mycotoxins in stored crops. Obtaining negative test results from a silage pile or grain silo may provide a false sense of security, as it doesn't ensure the absence of mycotoxins in the crops.

Binding
The bentonite used in the X-Bond® series has been tested in an in vitro trial to determine the adsorption of Aflatoxin B1 according to the EURL method. The binding rate was found to be 91.16% no matter the pH level - and is hence well above the EU requirements of 90%.

Deactivation
In the X-Bond® series enzymes transform mycotoxins into non-toxic metabolites. In vitro, tests were made to test the deactivation powers of X-Bond® Premium towards DON, FUM, and ZEN
Even after a few hours DON and ZEN are deactivated and transformed 1:1 into a non-toxic metabolite. The process is irreversible.
